Chemical Etching

We provide highly controlled etching facilities to remove the most difficult of metal and inorganic depositions from a wide variety of substrates. Optimum temperature and etch rate control are provided at each etching station. We will apply our chemical expertise to develop the most effective etching solutions to satisfy your specific requirements.


Abrasive Bead and Shot Blasting

We carry out our blasting operations on a range of pressure and suction systems. This allows us to provide a variety of surface finishes and all component sizes can be accommodated.


Arc Spraying

At OMC Scientific, arc spraying technology is available as part of our overall state of the art service. We can provide various coatings to improve the adhesion properties of the base material.


Aqueous Degreasing

Our Aqueous Degreasing Technology provides an economic means of removing oils using water based alkaline and neutral degreasing solutions. All components are thoroughlly degreased, rinsed and dried ready for the immediate use of our Customers. If suitable, ultrasonic cleaning can also be provided for particular applications.


CO2 Cleaning

Carbon Dioxide is a non toxic, non hazardous, non flammable material with no ozone depleting potential. CO2 cleaning is a reliable and effective method of removing micron to submicron particles and light coatings of hydrocarbon based contamination from a surface.


Precious Metal Recovery

OMC Scientific provides various methods including machining, filtration, electrolytic and chemical reduction, and magnetic separation for precious metal recovery from a wide variety of substrates and media. Our high recovery capabilities provide our clients with excellent cost recovery potential on their precious metals.


Ultrasonic Cleaning and Packing
in Cleanroom

We have a large, fully serviced Class 100 Cleanroom. All Ultrasonic Washing, Baking and Packing operations are carried out in our Cleanroom. Appropriate final inspections and parameter monitoring operations are also carried out in our Cleanroom. OMC Scientific is uniquely positioned to provide optimum contamination removal and control.

Parts leave OMC Scientific ready for immediate use in the most demanding
of ''particle control'' environments in our Customers' processes.

Electropolishing

Frequently referred to as ''reverse plating'' electropolishing is a highly effective method of polishing, smoothing, deburring and cleaning for stainless steel surfaces. Electropolishing removes flaws from the surface and provides a pristine surface for a variety of demanding industrial applications.


Passivation

Passivation increases the resistance of a metal to corrosion and thus considerably extends the life of the material. OMC Scientific provides a range of Passivation Solutions for both small (mm) and large (metres) components.


Parts Refurbishment

When parts get damaged in our customers processes or drift out of specification, OMC Scientific provides both basic refurbishment and precision machining expertise to rework parts. Procedures for this work are developed in conjunction with our Customers.
